Trust me, Im not hating on Airbus, but you cant take opinions and construde them as facts.

@ danielc365 --- Actually, all aircraft manufacturers have there share of problems. Airbus does have a history of problems, I should know, i have an A&P license. One problem they have is; they are not structually sound, ie, two A320 Rudders completely fell off during rough turbulence. As for the most sold, thats not entirely true, you need to check your facts. the A380 was just recently put into service, so how can you determine their safety record.

I've been struck by a lightning in final, we landed safely, what is the point of diverting?
If the airport remains open and you have the minimas for the approach, it's not stupid to try to land.

being an F/A for this company,i've had the chance to talk to some of the crew involved:
pilot mistake,undoubtedly.
as for the cabin:the ceiling started melting down on the pax,and upon exiting,one mother GAVE her baby to a F/A!!!!which immediately passed it to the next exiting pax,as he himself was to stay inside the plane until the evacuation was complete....
you never know what you'll do in those kind of moments...

The airbus are known for the most safest aircraft in the world all airbus aircrafts including the A319 A320 A340 and the A380 and more are all the most safest and best known aircraft around way better then boeing that explains why there the most sold and most used in fleets
