(The music starts at 0:23, so the silence until that point is not your computer acting strange. You might need to turn your volume up anyway, though.)
Both as a compositional activity and as a tribute to the late Elmer Bernstein (and one of the best movie scores of all time), I've taken the original audio out of the opening credits of To Kill a Mockingbird and replaced it with my own score.
It would be impossible for anyone to compose something more fitting or emotional than Bernstein's score (particularly the opening credits), so in composing my own, I've tried to speak in my own musical voice instead of imitating the original. The end result is not without its flaws, but this is my very first attempt at scoring any part of a real movie, and the only direction to go from here is up.

I have been looking for this clip -- I think it's genius. How the music weaves in and out and how when the marbles *clink* the theme begins in earnest. This is great. Thanks so much for putting it here.
I can safely say, as a person who hates to read that this movie/book was actualy not too shabby. I wouldnt read the book again, but I'd definitly watch the movie again.
