Kind of, but it is just a style. The games are actually quite different as for the storyline, setting and gameplay

And finally - the verdict.

The combination of low frame rates, movement restrictions and gameplay character speed double reduction from Painkiller makes this game sluggish in feel and ugly in look. The immature casting, basic unpleasant story telling and denieng the full fun of secrets and speedruns make this game not worth to be in the line of Painkiller - no fucin way.

In the end it's not a bad game, btu not good - 6.5 out of 10.

But i agree, this game could be better

Whatever. 8/10. -2 for shitty voice acting and weird story but +8 for amazing gunplay and action.

5) Dialogue and speech are simply horrible, sometimes irritating.

7) Throughout the game, just like in Doom 3, you find letters from people with some info or a story, however - UNLIKE in Doom 3, those letters would repeat time after time, all the SAME letters, making no fucking sense and getting really irritating..

8) unbalanced enemy AI and movements - some actions are too quickly or slow made and look unrealistic, though the AI is just mediocre
