I am finding that I am eating much less now have overcome fear about "starvation mode" I am less obsessed with food, It is not easy to change...I intend to follow what you are presenting. Sounds true to me. I once worked for the worlds largest diet organization, met the founder in 1978, and she was pretty fat, employees weren't allow to go more than 2 pounds over their goal weight. You won't find that in any weight loss research..what did Dr. Atkins weigh at the end anyway??
I am in the over 50 obese women group... however, I am moderately active, I have tried everything I know to lose the weight, but intermitent fasting makes the most sense. Eating nothing for 36 hours once a week is actually easier than eating small controlled amounts.
what about limiting yourself to small controlled amounts for say the weekdays, and then eating whatever you feel like on the weekend? I think this is much healthier and your 'feasting' periods will decline in proportion over time.
Why would a lean, very active man be interested in the results of a study on weight loss? Why would he think the study's results would apply to him? This makes no sense.
He was using himself as an example. He is saying that a study done on a certain group of individuals doesn't always apply to another group of individuals and to make sure that what you are researching applies to you directly.
