Does anyone know when and where this was filmed? Simply Awesome! And to think the two survivors would be performing again some 35 years or more later to an audience of 105 million? Incredible!
I've always tried to figure out what it was that made The Who so amazing and ive realized that it's not Pete smashing a guitar, its not Roger swinging the shit out of the mic and its not even Moon and, well his world.
It's the fact that while all this chaos is going on, John Entwistle is in the same fucking spot on stage that he was at the beginning of the show.
This is THE last time the original Who ever performed together. Keith was dead a few months later. An INCREDIBLE performance, and piece of concert film. From the era when rock bands were ROCK bands, and event security was scared s**tless.
You gotta watch all of " the Kids are Alright" to get a better idea of what the band's about. Entwistle and Moon were masters at their craft ,as well as Pete and Roger. But I still loved the Super Bowl show for sentimental reasons.
@ niico9 Ah haha....yeah I agree.....I've always liked them, but this tape would have been much better...unfortunately they'll never re-capture this kind of energy again.
