Respect is given where it is due. Colonel Jessup and Lieutenant Kendrick and men like them shouldn't be disrespected by younger personnel who have never been where those men have. Noncombat personnel deserve respect and have a useful role as well, but supply sergeants and lawyers should not talk down to Screaming Eagles and Rangers.

nonsense, Kevin Bacon and Demi Moore were certainly well established actors without any help from Tom Cruise

you're kidding right? Demi Moore was already established with Ghost. You know, if you're going to be such a Tom Cruise fanboy, you could at least make it a little less obvious

After the tanking of Valkyrie it is debatable whether Tom Cruise is the biggest movie star in the world. After he expressed his angry stance toward psychiatry without answering Matt Lauer's questions and calling him "glib" on The Today Show, Tom came across as irrational, to the point of Sumner Redstone firing him.

It is irresponsible of Tom to advertise Scientology as a harmless self-help religion, when it is in fact a dangerous mafia-like scam.

"Approximately 1 1/2 years before I left, a new rule came out stating that if you got pregnant, you had to either get an abortion, which was heavily pushed, or leave. The rule had previously been that if you got pregnant, you had to get an abortion or be sent to a small and failing lower organization where you had to fend for yourself and your baby." - Declaration of Astra Woodcraft, ex-scientologist, former Sea Org member, and owner of exscientologykids(.)com, 24 January 2001.
