when he says "when the red man can get ahead man"...it sounds like "when the red man can get some head man"...and that ain't right. he should have said it differently.

Thought I know I certainly won't be the popular one at the table for saying this, but I personally don't think that race relations in this country will change much until most of those leaders who were key in '60s-era civil rights... are dead and gone.

Because no matter which side they were on, many of them just can't let go of the prejudices and/or wrongs of that time.

Heck, I have relatives who marched, but can't BELIEVE that I was comfortable having a college roomie of a different race!

That was a beautiful prayer. He began with the final stanza of the Negro National Anthem. The most hopeful and yearning stanza.

He ended by rewriting that jumprope rhyme that we all accepted; how fitting. A man of the moses generation giving way to the Joshua generation. I lived to see it.

Fool The Phrase was "When blacks will not be ask to get back" means the back of the bus, last hired and fired. "Yellow will be mellow" means asians will be accepted and not looked down on, "Brown can stick around" means Hispanics can be involved in the ways of American progress. "White will do whats right" means our countries history and treatment of people of color. Most whites who voted for Obama did what was right. But the others who supported McCain needed to have joined them. Amen!
