It's the opposite. Lost Painting has a resemblance tp this melody, also composed originally by Michiru Yamane. The original version of the song appeared in Castlevania: Bloodlines for the Sega Genesis, and the music in that game is composed by Michiru Yamane, which composed later the score for SOTN.

Great variation, but I could do without those slight pauses at the beginning of the piece. They just seem to abruptly interrupt the flow of the rest of the music.

It doesn't sound bad, it's unique I like the guitar part gives it individuality from the other remixes.

Reminds me of AOS & DOS. Damn. Time to put OOE down for a few hours and play DOS

I know I'm gonna get thumbs down for this but I agree. We all expected so much from the games soundtracks but it sounded like it came from the original gameboy. The music in COTM was amazing so there was no excuse.

I much prefere the Genesis/Megadrive version

It's easier to appreciate the music when nathan isn't dodging dark armor beams and devil pillars.

it could be pretty that they put nathan in another castlevania game as the hero.
