Was this a factory installed diesel? I see another video from another user with a perkins powered ranger. I thought diesel rangers were all 2.3 turbo?

I believe I've driven forklifts equiped with the same grunt 4 cylinder engine.

Not alot of power, but it does good in a 15,000lbs capacity Hyster forktruck that was in operation nearly 24 hrs. daily 5 to 6days a week on average.

Haha that thing is awesome! Wish i could have something like that. Don't get me wrong i love my V8 7.3 but...a littl 4 banger 2.0 would be nice for driving around town in

I'd love to have one myself with 4wd. 40-50 mpg, Hell yea.

However, I believe theses trucks were made to be sold only on the European Market, there's also a 5 cyl. diesel powered Jeep Cherokee that was made for the european market.

That also would be a kick ass mountain vehicle to have

@tarmac2001 you probably have, but the hyster 100 was the bigest to recive the 2.0 NA diesel, the 15 would have a 2.4 turbo or a 6.0 NA. not trying to nit pick just trying to educate.

I appreciate it, but from when I looked under the seat of a 90, 110 and under the hood of the 155 it seemed like they all had the same perkins motor. I didn't even see any duct work on the 110 0r 155 for a turbo let alone the whinding sound associated with a t-c diesel. Those models were built in the 90's though and the 155 mill really could of used another rat on the running wheel inside that block.

could have been the older models, the ones I deal with are newer, but just looking at it the 2.0 and the 2.4, they look exactly the same only difference is in the bore and on the ID plate.

The Ranger came with a diesel from the factory from 83-85, maybe 86. Some were turbo diesel too. Extremely slow, but extremely fuel efficient; comparable MPG with a VW Caddy(30-50 MPG).
