Kompressor - K Is For Kompressor

Retired but not forgotten. Quite possibly the best song ever written. This song will make you dance, it's too bad that he does not.

I remember this from 2001 or so. I like that this music video was obviously made in a local zoo.

I heard a song on a wax trax compilation ("black box") that sounds suspiciously like Kompressor's style of distortion and underlying hints of voice qualities / accent. It's Mindblower by Fred Giannelli. Could that be Kompressor's true identity? Or is Kompressor just that perfectly good at replicating that early-90s industrial distortion sound.

Incorrect. Fred worked with Psychic TV and as well as releasing those songs on Wax Trax. I had a friend that hung out with Fred, but I just missed meeting him myself.

Kompressor's identity is known, and probably not a secret anymore. He is Drew from Toothpaste for Dinner. I travelled to see the one KOMPRESSOR performance in Ohio and met him in person. He is not Fred.
