"Apes are superior to humans." I'll just assume here that you meant "conceited" and not "conceded". No, it doesn't make us conceited to consider ourselves smarter, because in fact we are. As of now, I have not yet heard of any ape delegates to protest against their comrades' imprisonment, negative media representation, and countless voyeuristic videos (or as humans call them "documentaries"). Even when we humans wipe ourselves out with nukes, dolphins would still be smarter than apes.

umm..Check out the National Zoo in Washington D.C...Look up a beautiful Orangutan Bonnie. She can whistle..where did she learn that from. Observing!!!
