Radio host & self proclaimed "scholar" says he was beaten by an "angry" father who hit him with the buckle end of his belt & made him bleed. Morey says his mother was just a plain "liar." Morey says his family in general were just a bunch of "debauchers" & they raised Morey to "debauch." Morey says his father went to whores & he sums up the situation by saying his family will die like dogs. Hank Hanegraaff, director of the Christian Research Institute & host of the "Bible Answer Man" radio show whose founder was Dr Walter Martin who was a frequent guest on the John Ankerberg Show says "Dr" Robert A. Morey of Faith Defenders, Biblical Thought, Faith Community Church (FCC), California Biblical University and Seminary (CBUS), Bob Morey Live, and Doxological Apologetics is dishonest & unscholarly. Hanegraaff's comments come in reference to a report Morey wrote in his national "Researcher" newsletter attacking Gregory A. Boyd, author of the book, "Oneness Pentecostals and the Trinity." Boyd's book was endorsed by Hanegraaff & the CRI staff. In a letter by Dr. Boyd he states, "..."Truth-Seeker Bob [Morey] went after me with a vengence. He was trying to prove Hank Hanegraaff was incompetent in endorsing my book by proving that I was a heretic on the basis of my former book "Trinity and Process". He sent letters around the country telling Christian distributors to stop selling my books because I was (among other things) a process theologian, that I denied the Incarnation, I denied the Trinity!!!, and I was, in short, a closet liberal. His tactics half worked as my book sales dropped significantly. I still get hassaling mail from people about this. Well, to make a long story short, I have never in my life encountered, or even imagined, such blatant malice, deceit, and vile ungodliness -- let alone in someone who taunts himself as a Christian leader. At first I thought this was just an extraordinarily dull person (I had never heard of him before) who couldn't read, who had an extraordinary meglomaniac streak which made him want to be a "scholar." Hence he looked silly. But, as the case wore on, I began to see that the situation was far worse. He 'had' to understand my work enough to know 'how' to distort it. And, I began to see, he had to be lying intentionally to be so consistent and manipulative with them. This man, I finally came to see, WAS EVIL. He's a megalomaniac with a vengence, and so far as I can see, not an ounce of honesty or integrity to curb it with. This man is, in my estimation, very bad for Christianity, and very dangerous." "TheismBeatsAtheism," I like that name. Anyway, to answer your question, no I am not denying that Morey is telling the truth in this particular case (& sometimes he does actually tell the truth) about how wicked & debauched his family is which does give the viewer some personal insight into what influenced Morey's personal character as he was growing up. Morey has ruined his own reputation, all I have to do is report the facts about what he has done. Hitler also ruined his own reputation.

So, are you denying that Bob Morey was abused by his father? All you did was quote him at his very words - that he was abused. Then you made this logical jump about Morey and Wessels. Sounds like you have a personal gripe towards Dr. Bob, and you're doing all you can to ruin his reputation.
