Fantastic movie,
dreams can be as real as reality itself.

I love this movie. I watched it, at first, because it's a reinvantion of the movie Labyrinth (the stories of the two movies are incredibly alike). And Labyrinth is a reinvention of Alice in Wonderland. So, this just makes no sense at all. Still, I like all 3 stories.

This isn't a reinvention of the Labyrinth.

It is, according to Neil Gaiman. You can check it out on the extras from the DVD and the interviews he gave about the movie, long before it was released. Or, you can just use your senses and watch both movies, comparing the characters.

That was the basic intent of it. Sony relized that "Dark Crystal" and "Labryinth" were selling incredibly well for low budget movies that initially flopped 20 years ago. So they asked the Jim Henson Company to try and do that again, and they in turn asked Neil Gaiman and Dave Mckean.

OH good. The Imogen Heap concept wasn't working out for me.
