First of all what makes you believe I'm against guns? I'm not but you have the wrong facts. Gun crime has gone down in DC. is it cause of the ban? I don't know.

guns are not banned in DC only handguns are. Shotguns and rifles are still legal and many have them in there home including me. Gun violence is by far, by FAR much less in Canada, so its silly you even bring that up

There might be less violent crime in Canada (not by much) but that might have to do with the fact that there aren't as many drug dealing minorities as in US. In Canada 90% of the crime in TO is Jamaican Canadians (incidentally under 1% of the population in TO).
Now, in Canada there is nearly impossible to get a permit for a handgun. Guess what? Most of the criminals have them and commit crime. They know they are unopposed. And Can crime rate keeps increasing while it decreases in US.

Now before the ban in DC has been proven to be anti-constitutional, the highest crime rates in US were in Chicago and DC, incidentally the places with the highest restrictions on gun ownership. Ever since the gun ban has been instituted in DC, the crime rate increased sharply.
Removing this restrictions will ensure that criminals might run into armed opposition.
I used to believe banning guns is the best thing ever, but I actually looked at the facts and changed my mind. Now it's your turn.
