Speaking to an audience at the Audobon Ballroom in Washington Heights on March 29, 1964, Malcolm X explains: "If you're interested in freedom, you need some judo, you need some karate--you need all the things that will help you fight for freedom...They can give us the back pay. Let's join in. If this is what the negro wants, let's join him. Let's show him how to struggle, let's show him how to fight. Let's show him how to bring about a real revolution. You don't need a debate. You don't need a filibuster. You need some action."

as long as you are "africans" and believe whites kidnapped u, ur own people sold u, against ur will, so why didn't africans leave USA when freed & go back to Africa? Where ur 'freedom' lies? Still living in the past, that is what keeps u back, still calling each other names, then blaming others who call u the same name, and nationalism did not work in USA
He should've been the first black president of the USA, because he was a god damn field negro not a house negro!!! he would really CHANGE things!
"He got the peace prize, we got the problem.... If I'm following a general, and he's leading me into a battle, and the enemy tends to give him rewards, or awards, I get suspicious of him. Especially if he gets a peace award before the war is over." (Malcolm X)
@masondarko he should not have been 1st President, why? He still had slave mentality, he was locked in fear, anger of the past. He never got passed this if you listen to his speeches. This does not make a good leader, he circled the desert again and again, only when you leave the past can you see the future, he could not.
@jwill9996 if you did your research later close to his assassination he moved towards a more peaceful attempt and actually embraced "the white man" after leaving the nation of islam which in harlem was corrupt and segregated within itself
