Actually, women can object can't they?.. Plus, beating women is very unacceptable.. and even though it does happen. It is not allowed. A women can get a divorce, by telling the judge what her husband has done to her.

Also, Not everywhere is perfect. Men have raped there own daughters and beaten there own wives in Western,,Eastern Northern, southern parts of the world ..etc, Its some special cases. even though its illegal, it happens everywhere, not just in islam.

tada, another stereotype. that there's no religious tolerance and an enforced dress code as if the whole "middle east" region could possibly be the same. i'm not assuming you believe this stereotype or not. just pointing out that this is indeed one of them that i'd like clarified myself.
