I thought that was an interesting statement also. Mcluhan felt that we move into the future like someone who drives using only his rearview mirror. In other words we apply outdated content to our present situation.

I think that's an excellent clip on Marshall McLuhan and it's a brilliant idea to add the scene from Woody Allen's ANNIE HALL to illustrate McLuhan's thinking
