chobeegal, u r correct. There is NO evidence any where in regards to Chas Schultz suing these guys. Instead in santa Rosa CA, home to Schultz, there is No mention of it either. They sell the album and CD's there at the museum and new versions are out recently.
These guys were the original artists on this and the other "Snoopy" songs. They were from the Ocala, Florida area. I went to high school with two of them after this song had already become a big hit. I never heard anything about Charles Schulz suing them, it is not mentioned in any of the biographies, and in fact the cover of "Snoopy And His Friends" featured Charles Schulz own caricatures of the Guardsmen themselves. So I think you, mrentertainment43, have your "facts" royally screwed up.

My Uncle, whom I never had a chance to meet loved this song. I think from what my Mom has told me, this song just came out and he fell in love with it. I find myself attached to it. It's a great song, just wish I could have enjoyed it with my Uncle....R.I.P Ernie Gibbs
But you're a brit I take it right? I have an English friend and he's always yelling at me with "Hey! get out of the bloody car!" I thought the word was used a lot.
He is a lead singer in some of the other songs. In this, he is the german-voice at the beginning, and the cadence counter throughout. It's just all fun, as was most of this time and style of music.
