i used to think the healing well in the temples was a sand pit when i was a kid, so i used to press down and walk back and forth thinking i was a crab. Man the things you did as a kid lol >> take me back
There is memorable music these days, especially by Nintendo. Metroid Prime series has wonderful pieces, and so do the Paper Mario series, and Super Mario Galaxy.
The difference is that the music pieces of the old games are treated as common knowledge, whereas the newer games and their songs are yet to become common-knowledge classics.

As for Kid Icarus, those first few levels were so damn hard for me, but the game (and music) was so enjoyable anyways.
