Wow... Youre outta your mind boy... Thats one of the dumbest comments ever made about jean beliveau lol... Who are you to say he was overated? The guys a freakin legend, one of the best centers to ever play the game, he was dominating in all aspects of the game and in my opinion the greatest captain of the canadiens history.

Beliveau was an overated player. His great advantage was his size. He was 6 inches taller than most centers and scored a lot of garbage goals. He was not a great skater or shooter and if he wasn't around other great Canadian players, he would been forgotten on many teams. Now Courmoyer, that was a great all-around player.

Jean Beliveau was one of the most talented Hockey Players ever. The perfect combination of skill, strength & speed in addition to being the consummate team leader. He had more class than anyone in the history of Professional Sports.
I am N.Y. Ranger's fan & had the pleasure of watching Beliveau perform his artistry on many occasions.

Good for you Jean! You know I've always loved Beliveau from day one, even when I was young. There is a book out now called "Let's Talk Hockey: 50 Wonderful debates." I am happy to say that in one of the chapters that is thoroughly done there is a top 5 players category. Jean Beliveau ranks at #5 all time! I agree

What a great player Jean was. 10 Stanley Cups?! Wow, that's impressive. Along with Montreal legends Guy LaFleur, Larry Robinson, and Patrick Roy, Beliveau is a legend. He better go into a hockey fan's top 10 greatest players of all time list. I may not like Montreal that much, but they really are true pioneers of hockey.
