how can you hate the cartoon if you love the movie? the cartoon was before the movie and they are the almost same freaking thing. the idea of the movie was from the cartoon.

These cars are based in racing cars from the 50's, which used to ride and turn over the same way in the series, but less exaggerated. For example, the Shelby Cobra or the Ford GT have similar shapes.
