yea live performance is like sex... if ur not sweating hard... ur not doing it right....

if its sweat from adrenalin or tears or emotion..... adds to the perfomance...

bad lighting and being made to sweat from can detract from the performance and moment.

are u talkin about sex... or.. a live performance.? ive seen a lot of live performances.anywhere from mos def immortal technique..to radiohead and the best live performance ive witnessed.. rage against the machine.but not one time was i anywhere distracted or bothered when a performer starts sweating. its actually adds to the performance cause u give them respect for how much effort they are giving to the performance. james brown used to loose over 10 lbs in water weight in his performances.

the song performance. you're talking about bands there not a singer performer on the piano. not jumping about and supported by a number of band mates.

it gets so bad sweating the brow needs whipping it can interfere with the timing and moment.. which nina simone did twice during that performance.
