I've been using blender for a while and know what extrude is, believe me, pressing E does not look like that (@ 2:06). Even with subsurface modifier on.
He either has something switched on or is pressing something else, when he extruded the eye which is kinda square shaped he got a circle?wtf???, extrude gives the same shape, and he managed to get a circle. Yes before anyone says I have subsurface on There's tons of people asking this simple question and no -one has had a straight answer
FOUND IT! You've got to have optimal draw checked in the subsurface modifier settings. It may already checked by default in some versions hence why everyone keeps saying just extrude. Click optimal draw and then extrude and you should get the circle like @ 2:06
that always happens to me, when I program in c++, or my flash animations haha, you get inspired when you see this kind of work. I'm a little bit impatient maybe that's why I always take so long to finish this kind of proyects.
