This is not a fake. Terry O' Quinn said in an interview that the producers put other characters in the coffin so that if any clips got leaked, no one would know who was supposed to die. They put Desmond in one shot, too. Not even the actors were supposed to know who died.

It was fake, for the finale they did the same scene where the camera pans over the top of the coffin to reveal the person. The two used to cover the real ending were Sawyer and Desmond.

this is just a huge fan fake... ¬¬
it sucks...
first, the bakcground music (great Giacchino!) stops to be silence and it's sounding inmediatly again on next frame.
and second, an image like that, if it was true, it would be longer, not just a flash...
