cameronmurie, I don't think I've ever seen such a stupid comment on youtube. First of all, Pete Seeger was the host of this show. If it comes off as "talking down to his audience" to you, it's only because his job as the host is to take the reigns.

Second of all, Pete Seeger was longtime friends with both these guys, in a time when race segregation was so prominent that he was probably considered something of a traitor by whites (just like Herb Ellis). So no, he was not racist - far from it.
