"The Lone Ranger" released in 1956 and its 1958 follow-up, "The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold" are both available on DVD and can be purchased online at Amazon and locally at many retailers.

My Mother got me started with story's of the Lone Ranger when she listen on the Radio many years ago.
Being a Baby Boomer I had my hero on the television set and Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels fit the bill. I just wish I could have met both Men while they were still with Us. You got alot of personal values from that show just like the Rifleman sometime later.

At the time Jack Wrather began filming the final season of "THE LONE RANGER" in color for 1956-'57 (but originally seen on ABC in black & white), he decided to produce a theatrical feature [distributed through Warner Bros.]- no doubt to capitalize on the success of Disney's re-edited theatrical compilation of the "Davy Crockett" episodes from "DISNEYLAND". But this was "all-new"...and shot on a bigger budget than the earlier TV episodes.

This is so much better than the remake from the late 1970's.
