The film is Mrs Brown (1997). It is his first appearance on film as Archie Brown, a brother to the main male character.

I'm Wrong, I'm Wrong, yes of course you're right. Watched the movie again after a long, long time of seeing it, of course it's Gerry. A very young Gerry, guess I forgot this movie came out in 1997 I believe, so he is much younger looking, forgot how old the movie was.

Yes, this is a scene of Gerard Butler....he plays Billy Connolly's brother in the movie and Billy is the one with the full beard and braid...

UH, NOT Gerry! He's the other guy in the movie, Mrs. Brown. Gerry stipes off a kilt in the ocean scene and has a huge beard and runs into the ocean with another guy. This is a different scene with the other guy, think his name is Billy. NOT GERRY, for sure!
