at tops hed have played one more song, and maybe done a 3 minute interview or something. later with jools holland is a kind of showcase of lots of different up and coming and old famous artists, so it wouldnt have had a great deal (if any) other elliott stuff on the show.

Your totally right. Elliott Smith was the master of Darkness and despair, even though after his first 2 albums made him want to change his musical direction. He didn't want anyone to basically think he was this dark person. XO is his Major Record Debut but I think Arguably Self titled is Elliott smith at his peak.

if ur listening to more elliott, there's no way you can skip either/or...still his best album in my opinion (even though the albums to follow still blew me away)
