the video is great, but I am glad that the fake sentimentality and faking of emotion of the woman at 4:00 is no longer deemed fashionable.

Jascha was one of a kind. As a collector and admirer of great violin pieces, Heifetz's recording are not always the best versions avail.. The recording process and v. playing has progressed. But, Jascha set the example of how it should be done.

it's sad... all the recordings I have of Heifetz have the same ZIG sound, and the same peak distortion... His playing was so piercing and loud!! BUt in this video it is slightly better. You could hear the amazing sound slightly better I think.

Gets REALLY crazy at that point after about 2:00. UNBELIEVABLE!
