When I was a child this scene had always struck a chord within me. Now that I am older, and understand a wee bit about psychology, I cannot say how important this scene is in regards to psyche's libido. All the things are here. Shadow character, the cycle of depression, death, integration and rebirth. The deepest scene of any Superman movie. And yet, it was all the way out in Superman III.
THIS scene tells, exactly, my inner feelings. I must fight every fuckin' year with this. Hope to find my equilibrium but the dark side, never will die...completely!
Dark Superman's colours (the same as Superman Returns') are too dark and Good Superman's is too light. They should find a good balance in between the two shades for the new movie.
The Red K made the Dark Superman, But Kal-El Clark Should hav been stronger then wht this scene was making him, cause it was making him kinda of a pussie, & yet we all no now in Smallville Clark is anything but a Pussie.
Yeah, Reeves himself supposedly said that this was the only part of this film he felt was worth it, the rest of the movie embarressed him. But as you say, this is a cool scene, seeing the 2 halves of him duke it out, and how much of it is really happening and how much is in his mind?

This scene is a diamond in the rough.
I can't wait 4 Smallville 2 give him the suit.
