This is what I want to study when I finish year 12 :D I think the closest thing to it is EcoChemistry or Sustainable Energy Engineering in Adelaide.

Strengths
Work well for remote locations Local weather patterns and sun conditions directly affect the potential of photovoltaic systems.

Weaknesses
Some locations will not be able to use solar power.
Require very little maintenance
Environmentally friendly (no emissions)
Low Maintenance High Costs

siobhan you need to rethink why requiring little maintainance and being environmentally friendly would be a weakness.

this is awesome... if Nicole can pull this off, she will revolutionize the energy industry. I wonder what the efficiency and output of these new cells are? will wait for more info which im sure will come to light as the dream becomes reality..you go girl

Well Jason the efficiency of solar cells has been the biggest problem and coupled with their cost they do not prove to be a very viable investment for most home owners. But with this inkjet printing technology we can surely hope that the costs can go down and if this can get enough of an attention of potential investors then we can see more money going into solar research and hopefully the developments in this field in terms of the efficiency accelerating.
