I pictured something similar as a kid, but never had the opportunity or resources to bring it to life. Your design one ups me though, seating the operator over the rear wheels, letting his weight be applied directly to the drive wheels My only concern would be riding this up a hill steeper than in your driveway...maybe chaining a sand bag or something under the front of the chassis for ballast would solve this?
This is not the world's best invention, but it is inspirational and you are doing your bit, so respect. May I suggest interchangeable plows for the different jobs. The v-shape for clearing a thin path for pedestrians. The conventional shape for greater expanses such as trying to clear the end of the street.
