The only way to stop this is stop buying unnecesary electronic stupid devices...buy recicled products, here in my country there is a company that restores many electronic products such as last gen cellphones and sell it at very low prices...

Buy only necesary things for example buy a cellphone that has mp3 player inside instead of buying a cellphone and a mp3 player do you know that i mean?

Sad but this is the human condition and happen in many ways and form in this life, men controlling other to control wealth and power through the weakness of the mass.

There is no easy solution to this problem. If Congolese coltan is boycotted, many victims of this war will lose their only source of income and perhaps be no better off. The tantalite (aka coltan ) mine in Australia has been shut down due inability to compete with Congolese ore.

I am sorry to let you know that Coltan is not only in cellphones. it is in my mom's pacemaker, my grandfather's hearing aid, the CAD and MRI machines at the local hospital and in many, many places. the thing is that you can get it in Brazil, Canada and Australia, but the greedy companies prefer to get it cheap from Congo. The solution is certify the origin of coltan with a seal of origin and a process of certification. Don't generalize please, this is a huge misconception that we need to stop.

but is also sad that these people in power that make profit with coltan also use chain trails and add things to our food and water so we get sick. the united nations and the people in charge of world health work together to make us sick and die, we are no more than slaves to them and now we are too many and they want us dead, haven't you wondered why hearth problems, cancer and aids appear to have as a target black population as if they were genetically engineered? u me and the people r victims.

I agree with you in the fact that all of what we eat nowadays is chemically modified so we will last less. I don't know if they have targeted the black population only. I have Hispanic origin and I feel targeted too. I believe that we need to start using things more consciously and less. A cellphone is just that and we need to be happy with it.

true, it doesn't hurt to keep the same phone for 4-5 years, as long as your careful and content with it.
