Just to clarify, it is only miudinho until 2:20. Sounds like Sao Bento Grande de Angola after that, but in any case there isn't singing during miudinho.

Miudinho has a number of purposes. One is to make Capoeira less violent. It is also a game where all types of crazy floreio happen in the dialog of a confined jogo de dentro.

It isn't an end in itself. It feeds back into wider Capoeira and enriches it.

they're different games, different traditions, comprende?

for the same reason that you don't call chess "draughts" even although they are played on the same board.

Miudinho isn't banguela (that's the spelling that mestre Bimba gave to it, not bEnguela) at all. Miudinho means very small and that's what that game intends: playing very close and occupying a very small space.
Banguela is a game that looks for more "malicia" and "movimentacao" than Sao Bento Grande but still can be very fast paced.
I don't think you can compare miudinho with banguela since they are different types of game... but they are both capoeira

yeah. but just to make clear M.Suassuna doesn't call miudinho a new style of capoeira (like regional or angola), it is a new type of game however.
