about?, 10 round vs 5 round, Smooth fast bolt against a too short harder to operate bolt.

The Mosin's are crude and tough, the Lee enfield is refined brilliance.

Both work, but to say a Mosin is good because of the ammount made shows what reputation it has.

Mosin Nagant should be instead of the Lee Enfield here because alll the characteristics are about the same. PLUS Mosins were used everywhere from the 19th century to the Vietnam war. And were produced in larger numbers (much larger numbers) ((soviet style large numbers)) (((even bigger than you think)))

Err... I don't personally believe this gun deserves to be in the top 10. I see it's good, but not as good as so many others more worthy.

Well you got to consider that this rifle was the rifle of choice for the British Empire for a very good reason indeed.I see SMLE rifles at gun shows all the time.

There're a number of smaller countries that fought in WW2. The Axis had Italy, and the Allies also had France, Australia, and apparently Greeks lol. I'm pretty sure Africa had some troops fighting Rommel, right?
