Brazil is considered one of the most diverse countries in the world.
But it too suffers from widespread racial discrimination with black Brazilians often finding themselves at the bottom of the social ladder.
Al Jazeera's Lucia Newman visited Bahia, the heart of Brazil's black culture.

What difference does it make if one country has more/less discrimination than another. The point of journalism is to create awareness about the issues that exist in our world (good and bad). The fact that discrimination and racism still exists is outrageous, especially considering what we know about human genetics (that we all are one species and there is no such thing as race or racial superiority).
The real problem, that all countries face, is ignorance of the issues that caused people to be marginalized in the past and the present. Ethnic, religious, and class discrimination exists everywhere, whether its people of African descent in Brazil, poor European descendents in the U.S. Appalachian region, ex-patriots in U.A.E, or Aborigines in Australia. Wed be hard pressed to find a stretch of land on this planet where discrimination and oppression dont exist.
Instead of perpetuating negative ideologies, we should protest against discrimination regardless of which group is being oppressed and which we belong to.
O Brasil e racista sim. ACORDA BRASIL!!!!!
Where are the brazilian social problems? But the great reason to brazil are in first place ranking of prostitution and ignorance it's because media zionist and the government.. All times thiefing and cheating the populations with bbb and soccer, the education is low. Ppl passing of school and high school without learn the basic, this is ours reality, racism is other history being of jews and americans, nothing about brazilian hating others brazilian, only in case of bad and thiefs peoples..
