oh course it was long. speed racer has been around since like the 60s i think. And that movie just about covered speed's history since then. The mach 6 wasn't realeased until the 2006 speed racer next generation series. i thought it was awful at first because they completely destroyed racer x's storyline, but i watched it again and saw that they fix it at the end of the film.

i was thinking the same thing. speed racer didn't feel that long. now what was a long and slow movie was the dark knight.
