ED Gein from Wisconsin movie was better than this, the 2003 Texas chainsaw movie was better.

The character of leatherface is very much based off of Ed Gein... Who would make masks out of the skins of his victims.. Although he had 9 of them, not just one. His house was also filled with body parts and such, just like in the movie. He lived alone, not with people, that part is different. He made furniture from bodies and kept their organs in his fridge and had bones and stuff everywhere and skulls on his bedposts. The similarities are very clear, with a couple obvious differences.
