If i see anyone else referring to Placebo as Emop music, I will find that person and poke them in the eye with a ham sandwich. Emo is shit, Placebo fucking rule!
This song is not about suicide. Kate Bush, the original singer of this, said:
"I was trying to say that, really, a man and a woman, can't understand each other because we are a man and a woman. And if we could actually swap each other's roles, if we could actually be in each others place for a while, I think we'd both be very surprised! And I think it would be lead to a greater understanding."
Doesn't really seem to be about suicide. Seems like the song's about a strained relationship. Although, this rendition puts a pretty dark tone on it. Kate Bush's original is an 80s dance song. Which... is pretty much not emo. A bit terrible... But whatever.
