Cant believe this is on here  i actually went to this gig but thought this was in Feb 83 class group !

They played in July 82 and Feb 83

The Horrors are stupid and have nothing to do with The Birthday Party and just because I pointed out someone's dumb view on "new indie bands" doesn't mean that I take the internet too seriously or that I even give a shit. I was just bored so I projected my opinion out with the rest of the filth, that is all. Thank you.

i'm in two minds about the Horrors, i can see the influence of the Nick Cave and the bad seeds/ the birthday party in their earlier stuff. But if uve ever listened to the Chameleons, i think theres a big nod in their direction with the new album, and wonder if thats to do with Tim Burgess' involvement with the Horrors??? Your views??

Why do you perpetuate a small group's opinion about shitty indie bands into the generality of "everyone"? Can people these days not identify idiots without immediately trying to rationalize it by equating it to the majority opinion of "everyone" who is not the person speaking? I'm ashamed that you lump "your generation" into anything. Probably half the fucking people you know listen to at least one old band. Get over it, new shit happens. BP was a "waste of time new indie band" at one point too.
