As a Gen Yer, I think the sense of entitlement comes from the fact that so much information has been available to us, moreso than in past generations. Everything is at our fingertips just by sitting down at a screen and pressing a few buttons. According to that logic, why can't everything else be that easy? I don't agree with it, but I acknowledge it and acknowledge the fact that this way of living and thinking won't help us in the future.

I would just like to say as a soon to be college graduate that I agree wholeheartedly with the above comments. FOR THE MOST PART. There are a lot of spoiled little shits in the younger generations that are loud, proud, and have an undeserved sense of entitlement. I know this because I have several friends who are perfect examples. There are people in the younger generation who can still work hard and be respectful though, so don't give up on us just yet.

Notice the lack of white males? Fucking racists.

Generation Y has abysmal communication skills, they can't take risks, they can't manage a company, they can't compose music, they can't act, they can't create shit, and most of all they can't rebel because their parents are always shooting rocks up their ass when they try to have fun.

Just wait until Japan comes and fucks these kids up the ass. It's going to be a fucking riot.

well these kids have no idea how fortunate they are to work at a place where most of their coworkers are the same age as they are. here in oregon young professionals are nearly non-existent. i've worked at a few colleges and i would say 90% of employees are over 35. as i approach the end of my 20's, i realize that i've never had a chance to work with my peers. and the older generations do nothing to accomodate young workers i have no idea what they are talking about.

Gen Y is in competition with young people from China and India, we live in a global economy. Gen Y is going to get wiped out in the global economy.

True and I think that has a lot to do with how fragmented our society is (this generational divide being one example of how) and how structured, united and hungry those other nations are... ours is divided, complacent and fat.

Gen Y is not prepared for the global economy in which finance and business will be the foundation, and global competition will increase immensley the U.S alone has the lowest rate of college grads out of any industrialized nation, "I think were in alot of trouble". Gen Y doesn't stand a chance in the global economy it's going to be very painful for Gen Y when reality sets in.
