this is a very serious infringement of human rights but the situation is deplorable for alot of the children living in some of these communities. the onl proplem is that alot of the kids being abused will be pact up and taken walkabout leaving only the better families to suffer the denigration and humiliation at the hands of a ridiculous plan

It may look laudable at first glance. Sure, everyone wants to stop child sexual abuse, but how would you feel if Howard sent troops and police to your town, scaring the hell out of you (given how they've always treated you up to now), and took away your children for a health check, with you knowing that if any mistakes are made, they're going to be erring on the side of assuming you're the bad guy. It's a denial of basic human rights. There are better ways of handling this issue!

If it wasn't such a serious issue I would've assumed you meant laughable.

Great video AB. Your handling of the portfolio in very difficult circumstances has been admirable. If I could vote in QLD without committing electoral fraud I would vote for you!

The NT intervention is a laudable initiative of the Howard Government.
