No. Anand had moves, but the problem was that he simply did not have enough material to counterattack. He was going to be down and out of position. He would have lost anyway. He just didn't have the weapons.

I think... that Anand couldn't stop Kramnik from capturing Be6.

My chess understanding is rudimentary. Why did Anand concede at this stage? What was going to be Kramnik's next move? Could Anand have held out for a draw?
