Just the usual mess...unrehearsed, no warm up...jamming to show the various sounds that this guitar is capable of...no effects, just the built in gain/distortion and reverb...the amp is a Fender Super Sonic with an Avatar 2x12 extension cab...all 3 speakers are Hellatone 30's. I'm getting used to this new camera and I'm too close...so you can hear some natural pick/finger on the strings noise...especially when I'm standing in front of the speakers (blocking the sound path) and playing hard. The guitar is a totally stock Fender California Series Fat Strat which I will be putting up for sale on eBay. Thanks for watching and feel free to leave comments! -Howard

HI i have a fat mex strato. It have a good sound between hot of gibson and cold of fender so you can play every music style. The sound of american i s wonderful but i think that you can play a few style of music...
It's nice to hear the California Series is doing so well. It was my first real Strat and I love it. The one I own is Fiesta Red and was made in the year 97, Just some friendly advice, their great guitars with vintage hardware and tex mex pick ups, you won't be dissapointed.
You can upgrade a mexican step by step too. This is a way to exactly get the guitar, the feeling and the tones you want. Any part of Fender's is available on eBay and never forget every Fender actually is a puzzle.
Well, and the fact that the MIM strats are sometimes put together with up to 6 pieces of wood. Fender told me this when I asked about the differences.
One thing I've seen though is quality CTS pots in the MIM strats. These are some of the best out there, and the wiring is pretty decent as well. I mean, if those Mexicans were shoddily putting guitars together, Fender would have had to change something...so it goes.
