There's a fly in the ointment. When times get tough, there's no way to remain committed to your newly created life because it's just as empty & meaningless as everything else. There is no "life worth living" without you making believe that something is meaningful when it really isn't. "And the Earth was without form, and void".....until meaning was created from nothingness...and it's all just a huge game of make-believe to avoid the void. By the way, this is why some people "go crazy".
First realize that what our life is about is meaningless. Then despair. Then enjoy the freedom to create a life worth living. Sounds like good advice to me.
Werner Thank you so much. It so confronting when one realizes he is responsible for everything, ironically when one does take responsibility he is in charge of it.
Although I never took the est training, I studied and read about Werner Erhard and feel he figured out what really IS, that makes us, US. I saw the film and got much from it. I believe Werner was sincere in his approach, improving the world, along with other leading thinkers, Buckminster Fuller. He wasn't without his critics, made a lot of money, lived a fuller than average life. It's unfortunate that Werner isn't still teaching the training originally, because that's when est had its peak, IMHO
Spot ON. I call this man my best friend forever ... I had the profound privilege of working with Werner in the late seventies. I say his Work is the source of my being free, being joyful ... . My son, after spending a few hours with Werner, commented, "That man is nothing but LOVE, isn't he?!" Yes. Exactly That.
