The poster who mentioned Graham Parker is right. Parker's stuff is similar, and also very good.

I really love the Hold Steady. It's at the very least, the best new roots-rock band to hit the scene in 10 years.

just went to see them on friday night at starland ballroom it was amazing it was the 2nd show od theirs i have been too
