So how can a shot be still in its upward path to the basket if it has already hit the board?

just because it hits the back board does not mean it stop traveling in an upward flight..

you seem to be mixing up your rules. In the NBA, once it hits the backboard, if a player touches the ball, its basket interference. In HS (which is what this game is), the ball can still be on an upward flight even though it his the backboard. So no, I'm not f@$#ing kidding you...

See this is where you are mixing up rules. The flight of the ball up/down determines if a shot is goaltended or not. Basket interference is something completely different from goaltending. and it has nothing to do if the shot is still going up. Once the shot hits the board the balls "flight" is over thus a goaltending call cant be since it has hit the board or rim and the basket interference rules now apply.

i read al these comments and i see there are way too many fouls in basketball.... just let them play
