Yeah before he sadly passed away way to young. The referees they had were a who's who of Aussie celebrities of the time.

I remember watching this as a kid and loving it. So whatever happened to Billy J Smith and what did he actually do before this? Was he a sports commentator or something in Sydney?

Yeh he was a sports commentator for Rugby League and he was a Sports Presenter on Ten News.. He's now got a radio show in Brisbane on AM Radio..

It got axed due to several complaints from locals in area about noise and lighting.. And you know, it cost about $100,000 to make an episode apparentley.
