lib: scroll down even further (a year back+), you'll see I ridicule my own intelligence. You really are presumptious. I guess you would trust some mega corp to ensure your safety over a govt, who's elected by the people. Nobody likes "big govt", but there has to be a minimum of regulation. But by the black & white simpleton, right winger view, ALL regulation is an evil thing. They would be the first to be easily duped into drinking toxic "brain juice". Or to buy a certain Brooklyn Bridge.
@lib. where's my other replies?! I can see the last sentence of one post on my smart phone (says "null" next to my name), but nothing in here. Screw this "liberal" company! ;-) Btw, scroll down further, you'll see I was already ranting about simpleton slogans, so that calls BS on your "meant to" comment. Technically speaking, one word isn't a "slogan",but semantics applies in here. And to continue my slogan rant, it's these simple catch phrase "slogans", that really resonate with the simpletons
@racer7nevercrashes: Ahhh, yes, the typical left/5-yr-old response: "I meant to do that." Only a "progressive" would think "liberty" is a slogan. I'm afraid you overestimate your intellect and knowledge a great deal. Of course, thanks to big government, no one ever dies at the hands of another. Thank heaven you're here to save us!
LOL!I just knew somebody would accuse that "children" analogy as being an attempt to pull at "heartstrings".You guys are too easy. Which is why the far right uses simpleton slogans like "freedom", "liberty",etc. so effectively on naive, gullible people. As for the "market", "balls" didn't even know what a "mixed economy" was.Which is typical of the black & white, simpletons on the far right.Yeah, the "market" will take care of corps that kill people. That does little good to the people that die.
@racer7nevercrashes: I've never met a right-winger who wasn't a hard-eyed realist, unlike the utopian, we-are-the-world, it-wasn't-his-fault left. The market takes care of businesses that make bad baby formula ("save the children" heartstrings sure are easy to pluck). Once politicians (government) begin controlling, they will never give it up willingly. The left believes they know better than *everyone*, and should therefore be able to boss the rest of us around.
ball: so you readily admit "life is black & white"? LOL! Since you were ranting about business regulations as being ALL evil (which they would be in your "black & white", simpleton world), I suppose making sure baby formula is safe for toddlers to drink is an evil thing? And that's what's pathetic about a lot of right wingers, they're like naive, gullible children that don't yet realize there are evil people in the world that would risk/waste lives for a quick buck.
My alternative? Let the bottom feeders die off. Sounds horrible huh?"

yes. it is an excellent example of a strawman fallacy. not to mention a few hundred association fallacies thrown in for good measure.
