Freaking awesome. I absolutely love how they didnt give in to top of the pops demands to lip-synch and took the piss out of them. especially when kurt starts sucking on the mic!

Top of the Pops was a program that required its musical guests to intentionally play to a back-track, so the music was essentially played from a CD and the artists had to act like it was live.

Naturally, like any great band, Nirvana was pissed about this. Instead of deliberately ignoring the invitation, they wanted to actively protest, which is why they dance around and sing the way they do.

It was an epic performance, IMO.
